There are lots of information pages on our site - see the separate pages on your left - but her is a run down of what is happening within East Hendred Entertains at the moment:
Knitting, knitting & knitting - we are always looking for keen knitters to help with our larger projects or maybe you want to learn to knit - we can help there too! See our Knitted Garden Page. We are looking for helpers, especially a co-ordinator/planner, we are also looking for non-knitters as we have lots of things they can do too!
The Hoot
Our monthly newsletter which is distributed to houses in East Hendred & West Hendred - see our separate pages for details of how to advertise and back issues.
Thrift Shop
We run a very successful shop - see our separate page for details and opening hours.
Snow!
If we have snow there will be a snowman building competition on Dancing Hill (as long as it is the right snow, there is enough of it and the schools are closed) - contact Val 833973 or Hendred Stores 833123 to check for details. See our separate page for pictures from last year.
Grants
We will be making our annual grants in February so as not to miss out - see our Grants Page for full details.
Jubilee
We are planning the Jubilee Celebrations for next June - do you want to get involved? Either e-mail us (see contact us page) or ring Val 833973 or Sonia 821796. We had a fabulous day celebrating the wedding of William & Kate (see Royal Wedding page) lets make the Jubilee celebrations just as good!
Christmas
We love Christmas and are already planning our 2012 events - the switching on of the Christmas tree lights with carols was so popular in 2011, we will be doing this again (proposed date of Saturday 1st December - to be confirmed), Christmas Market on 9th December (see separate page for more details) and the ever popular Walking Nativity makes it's return (proposed date of 23rd December - to be confirmed) - we hope you find something amongst these to get you into the festive spirit!
